Les crues, notamment lors de fortes pluies et de la fonte des neiges, ont creus\u00e9 de profondes entailles dans certains tron\u00e7ons du cours d&rsquo;eau au cours des si\u00e8cles pass\u00e9s, en particulier entre le centre de Durbach et le hameau d&rsquo;Unterweiler.  <\/p><p>Le barrage d&rsquo;origine sur le ruisseau constituait un \u00e9l\u00e9ment technique important pour le cours d&rsquo;eau du moulin, qui traversait la B\u00fchlmatte en suivant le Plauelrain, en passant devant les quatre anciens moulins, et irriguait simultan\u00e9ment les prairies de la B\u00fchlmatte et celles situ\u00e9es en contrebas de l&rsquo;alpage. En hiver, la glace \u00e9tait \u00e9galement r\u00e9colt\u00e9e sur la B\u00fchlmatte, stock\u00e9e dans la brasserie et utilis\u00e9e pour fournir des boissons fra\u00eeches, notamment de la bi\u00e8re fra\u00eechement brass\u00e9e, jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 la fin de l&rsquo;\u00e9t\u00e9. <\/p><p>L&rsquo;image historique ci-dessous montre un grand barrage sur le ruisseau, dont l&#8217;emplacement exact est malheureusement devenu inconnu. Plusieurs barrages de ce type existaient autrefois le long du ruisseau Durbach. Par exemple, un grand barrage se trouvait \u00e9galement \u00e0 Unterweiler, en face de l&rsquo;ancien moulin \u00e0 huile, pour alimenter en eau le moulin de Weilerm\u00fchle. Ce barrage a \u00e9t\u00e9 n\u00e9glig\u00e9 et est aujourd&rsquo;hui en ruine, le moulin n&rsquo;\u00e9tant plus en activit\u00e9. Autrefois, ce barrage faisait souvent l&rsquo;objet de plaintes de la part des riverains, car le meunier du moulin de Weilerm\u00fchle, Streif, ne le relevait pas toujours \u00e0 temps lors des crues, provoquant ainsi des inondations.    <\/p><p>Le canal d&rsquo;amen\u00e9e d&rsquo;Unterweiler \u00e0 Weilerm\u00fchle a \u00e9t\u00e9 en grande partie canalis\u00e9 en raison du d\u00e9veloppement
