Weilermühle – Further information
The boundary stone of the Ortenau bailiwick, pictured below and embedded in the building, shows a coat of arms with an eagle and a castle next to it. He marked the border running here between the Landvogtei Ortenau and the Margravial-Baden Lordship of Staufenberg.
An identical stone from 1539 is located in the Hespengrund next to the wrought iron entrance gate to Neveu Castle, bearing the symbol of the Griesheim court, the motif “Flözerhaken” and anchor, as a coat of arms on the back.
